People with Kidney Failure are sick. They are very sick and all of them live day to day, their lives surrounding a regime of dialysis. Some go to a Dialysis Center several days per week and there, they are connected to a machine which pulls blood from their bodies and filters it before adding the blood back into the body. This is usually a three-hour process, leaving the patient exhausted afterwards.

Other kidney patients are able to hook themselves to a machine at home and with the same result they can sleep with their machine hooked up as the fluids rush through their bodies, expelling the toxic waste so that they may live to see another day.

The Charles and Jennie Machado Foundation knows that receiving a Kidney Transplant is more about marketing, social media and getting the story out into the world. There are regulations, social norms, knowing the right people and being in the right place at the right time.

How can a person enduring a strenuous regime of dialysis, also market themselves? How can they get their story out when it takes all their efforts just to survive the dialysis process?

The answer is that they cannot and they need help. It is why The Charles and Jennie Machado Foundation created a website where kidney patients can use a smart phone and in a very simple process, they can tell their story and upload this to our website where we do all the marketing and social media promotion. This is free to those who cannot pay and very inexpensive for those who can. We are not interested in making money, but focused on results.
